Band 9

Course Description

Music Development Through Service Opportunities

This elective course runs during the second half of the year in Term Two.

Students will enhance their music reading skills and instrument technique through focused practice. This will be complemented by collaborative ensemble playing, fostering a well-rounded musical experience.

Furthermore, students will have the chance to showcase their progress by participating in school concerts and/or music festivals, allowing them to share their musical achievements with an audience.

To refine their ear training, students will engage in rhythm-focused exercises both in the classroom and at home, utilizing computer resources. Regular practice of rhythm development will be emphasized.

Consistent at-home practice is expected, as it plays a crucial role in the overall learning process.
